GIVING BACK
2% of the profits of Vitesse go to non-profit organizations putting more people on bikes and helping create safe places to ride.
Here are some of the organizations we support in their efforts to improve the quality of cycling in our communities. |
![]() People For Bikes
Launched in 1999 as Bikes Belong, PeopleForBikes includes both an industry coalition of bicycling suppliers and retailers, as well as a charitable foundation. Their foundation is where we house our major programs and engage individual members, affiliate organizations, and corporate sponsors. Over the years, PeopleForBikes has spent more than $30 million to make bicycling better. They’ve invested $2.1 million in community bicycling projects and leveraged more than $654 million in federal, state, and private funding. They've contributed millions to national groups and programs like the Safe Routes to School National Partnership, the League of American Bicyclists, and the International Mountain Bicycling Association, ensuring safer places to ride for both children and adults. Join PeopleForBikes now to become part of the movement. ![]() Marin County Bicycle Coalition
The Marin County Bicycle Coalition (MCBC) has been steadily improving Marin County’s road and multi-use pathway facilities for cyclists and pedestrians since being formed in 1998. You’ve seen the impact of their advocacy efforts in each of our towns: bike parking facilities, miles of new bike lanes, a nearly completed bike routes system that is signed, several separated multiuse pathways road repairs and resurfacing, share the road “sharrow’’ road stencils, and much more. More recently, you’ve seen the positive impact of their Off-Road Program’s efforts, including the beautiful new 680 Trail linking two County open space preserves, improved trail access on State Parks and GGNRA lands, volunteer trail work days and much more. MCBC’s work improves our quality of life in many ways:
MCBC's goal is for 20% of all trips in Marin to be made by bicycling or walking by 2020. You can help – join MCBC today! |
