The 2012 Vitesse possesses a layered opulence, opening with fresh cherry, plum and violet aromas that rise up from the glass. The wine continues to delight with a wonderful mélange of black currant, walnut and spice flavors. This elegant and exuberant Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from some of the most prestigious hillside vineyards in Napa Valley and will drink beautifully for the next 20-30 years.

When it releases this fall, the 2012 Vitesse will retail at $65. Similar wines command 2-3 times the prices when made with similar grapes to ours from such esteemed appellations as Spring Mountain and Diamond Mountain.

The 2012 Napa Valley vintage will be one for the record books. An exceptional, trouble-free growing season, with moderate temperatures, few heat spikes and low but ample rains, it has resulted in the creation of spectacular, fruit-forward wines of great layering and finesse. 

The vintage exemplifies what Napa Valley is all about - an enthusiastic expression of terroir, piling on fresh, rich, succulent fruit combined with unique berry and earthy notes, fine tannins and low acidity.
